Spring break is approaching as the days pass by and it’s so close that students can feel it at NMHS. The typical things that all students do during spring break include; sleep, sleep at 2:00 am, eat, and hang out with friends. That gets a bit bland every year, and since there’s a whole week, there’s bound to be something that anyone can enjoy in this little town.

This list is not in any specific order, these are just places you should try to check out over spring break to brighten up your week!

  1. A new hotspot for people in the New Milford area is Glaze Donuts. With their amazing artisan donuts that come in 30 different flavors, students make trips to the donut shop right beside NMHS everyday. This shop also offers different kinds of drinks on the menu that include coffees and teas, hot or iced. This surely will be worth the trip over spring break.

  1. Another place right next to NMHS is Sopranos Pizzeria & Restaurant. The pizzeria and restaurant includes the traditional pizzas, wraps, sandwiches, and pastas. It is a favorite for the students close to the high school that need something tasty yet quick for after school activities. It will definitely be just as good when you’re on break with no work to worry about.

  1. If you’re looking for a nice place outdoors, check out the location behind Borough Hall! It’s not the greatest place ever but serves it’s purpose to get people outdoors instead of staying at home, locked up in their rooms on their phones. Get some fresh air, appreciate all you have around you, and enjoy the scenery!

  1. A donut shop was already mentioned in the beginning but that doesn’t mean you can’t mention another one! Of course, this one is just as popular and a bit more famous. You can’t forget the original donut shop in New Milford; Dunkin’ Donuts! With it’s competition on the other side of town, it’s a bit less competitive but all the while, just as delicious.

  1. Lastly, this place in New Milford is popular with students looking for jobs but still, it’s worth going to. New Milford’s own Garden Cafe, located at 160 Henley Ave., offers their customers a wide selection of sandwiches, wraps, and desserts. With all of the different options available, you should go check it out!
